Islamabad: Pakistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan Mansour Ahmed Khan said that the world is supporting Pakistan’s position on Afghanistan.
“Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan always categorically stated that there is no military solution to the situation in Afghanistan. Now the world is also supporting Pakistan s stance,” the ambassador said.
The ambassador said that Pakistan has always emphasized an inclusive political solution to end the conflict in Afghanistan. He said that the contacts and consultations between the Taliban and other Afghan leaders are a positive signal for the establishment of a political and negotiating government in Afghanistan.
He insisted that, except for Panjshir, the Taliban had already controlled all parts of Afghanistan. He said that Pakistan wants peace in Afghanistan, and the new Afghan government must be formed through mutual consultation among all stakeholders in the country. “All factions should be part of this government,” he added.
Speaking of the evacuation process in Kabul, Mansur Khan said that the Pakistani Embassy in Kabul is actively assisting the evacuation process. “India plays a negative role in Afghanistan. As the situation at Kabul Airport improves, the evacuation process will speed up.”
He explained that the Pakistani Embassy in Afghanistan is making unremitting efforts to evacuate Pakistanis from Kabul, saying that the embassy arranged the evacuation of Pakistanis. “We are facing some challenges at the airport because it is surrounded by a large number of Afghan nationals,” he added.
