He said after launching the Covid-19 Telehealth portal in Islamabad on Wednesday, even advanced countries with more resources cannot cope with this situation
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the entire country will work together to respond to the threat posed by Covid-19.
We are facing greater challenges because of insufficient investment in Pakistan in the health sector in the past. However, the Prime Minister believes that compared with other countries, Pakistan’s Covid-19 situation is not bad.
Imran Khan said that it is very important to register doctors, especially female doctors, in order to provide services through the health portal, adding that in the Corona Relief Tiger Force, it has also voluntarily registered A large number of health professionals to make a difference.
The prime minister said that the plan could improve the ratio of fewer doctors to people in the country. He said he hopes that volunteers registered with the service will play an effective role in remote areas of the country.
The Prime Minister congratulated the Digital Pakistan team for achieving the project at a critical moment.
Prior to this, Tania Adrus, the special assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, gave a detailed briefing to the Prime Minister on the telemedicine portal. She said that citizens can contact any doctor through this free service.
Dr. Zafar Mirza, Special Assistant for Health, said that the portal will provide a safe environment for doctors and patients. He said that citizens can also ask questions and seek guidance from medical experts through this portal.
