Walk-in vaccination for citizens aged 30, above begins


Islamabad: The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) announced that starting today (Saturday) walk-in vaccination will be opened for citizens 30 and over.

Federal Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar announced the decision and urged people to get vaccinated, and revealed that more than 5 million people have been pricked by the coronavirus.

On the other hand, Pakistan has reported 73 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 916,239. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 20,680 on Saturday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 2,455 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

In terms of the number of deaths and the number of cases, Punjab is still the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

So far, 5,003 people in Punjab, Sindh, 4,043 in KP, 755 in Islamabad, 539 in Islamabad, 539 in Kashmir in Azad, 273 in Baloch, and 107,900 in GB have died from the epidemic.
