US records 1,303 coronavirus deaths in 24 hours: Johns Hopkins

Washington: According to data reported by Johns Hopkins University on Monday night, the number of new coronavirus deaths recorded in the United States has increased by 1,303 in the past 24 hours, and the number of confirmed U.S. cases is close to one million.

According to the statistics of the Baltimore agency at 8:30 pm (0030 GMT), the current total number of deaths in the country is 56,144, with 987,022 infected.

At least 111,109 people recovered from the virus.

The 24-hour charge on Monday is the same as the price on Sunday, but it has fallen sharply from 2,494 on Saturday.

More states began lifting the corona virus blockade on Monday, but officials said New York-the economic engine of the United States and the epicenter of the coronavirus-rush to hospitalization rate is still high.

Since Colorado, Minnesota, Mississippi and Tennessee are among the states that have recently relaxed restrictions, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said he is preparing to extend the confinement measures for the hardest hit areas.

New York is the hardest hit state in the United States, with more than 17,300 COVID-19 deaths among nearly 292,000 confirmed infections.

President Donald Trump said he hopes to see many American schools reopen before the end of the school year.

“Even if it s for a very short period of time, I think it would be a good thing,” he told reporters.
