US dollar slides to lowest level in 5 months

Karachi: The dollar fell to its lowest level in five months after falling 31 paisa on Thursday.

As per details, the greenback closed at Rs161.82. Since its high of 168.43 rupees on August 26, the dollar has fallen by 6.61 rupees.

The depreciation of the dollar will reduce Pakistan’s debt burden by 725 billion rupees.
