Islamabad: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called President Arif Alvi on Sunday to express condolences to the families of the victims.
He said that Turkey will support Pakistan in every difficult period.
The press release stated that on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, President Erdogan also expressed the best wishes of the Turkish government and people to the Pakistani people.
President Alvi expressed his sincere greetings to President Erdogan and the Turkish people for Eid al-Fitr, and expressed the hope that the current coronavirus pandemic problem can be overcome as soon as possible.
He thanked the Turkish President for taking care of Pakistani nationals during this difficult period and dispatching personal protective equipment for Covid-19.
President Alvi also appreciated the message of President Erdogan’s unity after Karachi’s unfortunate plane crash.
A press release quoted the president as saying: “This heart-warming message from Turkey shows that there is a long history of fraternal bonds between the two countries and provides strength for families who have lost loved ones.
President Bush reiterated that Pakistan will continue to develop a time-tested and unparalleled brotherhood between the two countries.
