Islamabad: Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, special assistant to the Prime Minister of Information and Broadcasting, said on Sunday that those who used “parchi” to get into power were calling Imran Khan as “selected prime minister”.
The special assistant, who spoke with the party coordinator of Sialkot, suggested that Bilistal Bhutto Zardari, chairman of the Pakistani People’s Party (PPP), would first adopt democratic rules within his party.
She said that Bilawal Bhutto should appear before the National Accountability Office (NAB) and show a trail of money.
Dr. Firdous said the federal government has received an application for the overseas visit of a Pakistani Muslim union Nawaz (PML-N) to Maryam Nawaz and will make a decision on Tuesday.
She added that the government will examine applications and make decisions based on the constitution and the law.
Speaking of the serious situation in the occupied Kashmir region, the Special Assistant said that India is now known as an extremist country. She further said that the government’s controversial citizenship law, led by Narendra Modi, exposed what India calls democracy and secular faces.
Dr. Firdous said that India had pushed the occupied Kashmir region into violence and promoted the ideology of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a thought that caused violence throughout the country.
She said the Indian army had launched an unprovoked attack on the line and killed innocent civilians, but the Pakistani forces and the Pakistani people united and responded appropriately to Indian aggression.
Fidous Ashiq Awan said the entire Pakistani nation stood by the armed forces to defend the motherland. She thanked the Pakistani media for effectively revealing India’s cruel face.
