The first 3D-printed ventilator prototype in Pakistan could be ready within two weeks

Lahore: A group of volunteers from Pakistan called themselves “Pakistan Fighting COVID-19 – Volunteers (PAC-V)” and have announced plans to use the most advanced 3D printing technology for the mass production of affordable fans, breathing valves and other necessary equipment.

According to News, volunteer groups from all over Pakistan met earlier this month to develop an affordable solution to combat COVID-19 and use 3D printing technology to make medical devices in the country.

Volunteers are physicians, biomedical professionals, engineers, academics, diasporas, resource mobilizers, and other smaller groups, and their goal is to use 3D printing to create fans, valves, and equipment needed to fight corneal viruses in Frontline response.
