Islamabad: Asad Umar, minister of Federal Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, said Monday that testing, detecting and isolating people who test positive for new coronavirus will help manage the pandemic.
During a press conference, the minister speaks to Dr. Zafar Mirza, special assistant to the Prime Minister of Health. The briefing took place after the National Command and Operations Center meeting.
“If we have a system that directs us to that person who contracts the virus. If we can get to the persons that he has been in contact with and where he lives. After that, if we can tell these people to stay in a safe place in their homes, then we can achieve the same objective with a lot less damage,” he said.
He said that the National Coordination Committee (NCC) will meet tomorrow (Tuesday) and that all provincial prime ministers will participate. He said, “The NCC meeting will decide what measures to take across the country after April 15.”
