Karachi: On Friday, four people including two security personnel were killed and many others were injured in three explosions in Gotki, Karachi and Larkana, Sindh Province.
The first incident occurred in a butcher shop near Ghotki Railway Station, where two security officials and a civilian were killed. Several people were injured.
A large team of police and rangers arrived at the incident and blocked the area. After the explosion, an accident occurred when a bomb disposal team arrived at the crime scene. One official died and seven people were injured.
Officials said the bomb was implanted. The police had collected evidence and started an investigation, and the bomb disposal team conducted a search operation in the area. The injured person was transferred to the hospital.
Tufail Ahmad Bhutto of the Ghotki police station told Imtiaz and Fayyaz that they were two security officials on the mar road and one passerby Ghulam Mustafa during the incident.
The second incident occurred in Karachi. One person was killed and six others were seriously injured in a grenade attack near No. 10 Liaquatabad.
The attack was carried out when the Essas programme office allocated funds to people. Security personnel arrived at the scene and sealed off the entire area.
The commando’s cell phone was also damaged during the attack. It was learned in the preliminary report that the grenade was thrown from the bridge. Karachi AIG Ghulam Nabi Memon visited the incident.
In the third incident, the checkpoint of the homeless school in Larkana was attacked by crackers. There were no reports of casualties. The attack was carried out by unidentified suspects on motorcycles.
