Sindh to close schools from July 16 as Covid-19 infections surge

Karachi: The Sindh Provincial Government has decided to close educational institutions from Friday, July 16, 2021, as the province’s coronavirus cases continue to increase sharply.

A high-level meeting chaired by the Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, decided to close the school; however, the examinations will continue as planned.

It was also decided to close indoor dining from tomorrow night while recreational and water parks, Seaview and Keenjhar Lake will be closed from Friday. Cinemas, indoor gyms and sports will also be banned.

It is worth mentioning that the number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Sindh has exceeded that of Punjab, where the total number of deaths due to the virus is 5,621.
