Sindh government weighs up loosening lockdown after April 14

Karachi: Sindh Province has indicated that it will lift the blockade of the provincial capital after April 14. According to the established SOP, trading activities are expected to resume within a limited time after April 15.

According to Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shallwani, plans are being made to allow bakeries and restaurants to supply, collect and reopen shops, markets and industries.

He said SOPs are being developed for shops and trading centers. Otherwise, the store or market will be blocked.

The Commissioner further stated that the SOP will be sent to the Chief Minister of Sindh for approval, which will then be implemented in the province.
