Karachi: The Chief Minister of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah, hosted a meeting on the situation in Karachi after the monsoon rains on Friday.
At the meeting, the ministers stated that an advanced irrigation system should be used to drain and clean the sewage in the metropolis.
The provincial minister, the commander of the Karachi Army and the chairman of the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) attended the meeting.
Earlier, the Prime Minister (Imran Khan) invited the Pakistan Army to assist the Karachi Civil Affairs Department in dealing with the rain-related situation.
Governor Sindh Imran Ismail stated that the federal government will focus entirely on Karachi. NDMA and FWO officials have arrived in Karachi as directed by the Prime Minister.
