Meeting between Shahbaz Sharif, PML-Q leaders delayed

Shehbaz Sharif decides to move LHC against govt for not allowing him to travel abroad

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and National Assembly Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif (Shehbaz Sharif) decided on Monday to hand over the Lahore High Court (LHC) to the government and not allow it to go abroad .

Political parties say that Shehbaz Sharif’s lawyers are prepared to underestimate the court’s petition to the federal government and demand that the court take action.

On the other hand, PML-N has decided to record the protest at today’s non-applicable meeting to prohibit Shehbaz Sharif from traveling abroad.

The federal government is also expected to submit a request to the Supreme Court (SC) to challenge the decision of the Lahore High Court (LHC), which excludes the name of President PML-N from the blacklist.

It is to be mentioned here that LHC had allowed Shehbaz Sharif to go abroad. Justice Ali Baqir Najfi announced the ruling on the former Punjab chief minister’s petition seeking exclusion of his name from the blacklist.

The court allowed Shehbaz Sharif one-time visit to United Kingdom from May 8 to July 5 for medical check-up, besides seeking reply from respondents.

Earlier, Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed had clarified that name of Shehbaz Sharif had not been placed on Exit Control List (ECL) yet.

Sheikh Rashid said in a video statement that the ministry had not received the cabinet’s summary.
