SHC rejects petitions opposing K-Electric’s privatization

Karachi: The Sindh High Court (SHC) rejected all constitutional petitions against the privatization of K-Electric on Thursday. The KESC union has transferred the court to the court.

Since the union filed a request in November 2005, the SHC issued its verdict 15 years later. The union leader said that the court knows better why it took 15 years to make a decision, but the delay in justice is denial of justice.

He further added that the union will consult a lawyer to challenge the SHC decision in the Supreme Court, and any decision will be made after the fact.
