Senate election: ECP rejects Shehbaz Sharif’s plea to cast vote in Lahore

Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) rejected the request of opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif to vote in the Lahore Senate election.

Although the Election Commission rejected the request of Shehbaz Sharif, President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), it stated that voting could not be conducted anywhere except the National Assembly.

It should be noted that the Pakistan Election Commission has issued a production order to the imprisoned members of the National Assembly and the Provincial Assembly as part of the voting process for the Senate election scheduled for March 3.
