Selected rulers have put country’s peace at stake: Maryam Nawaz

SWAT: Former first daughter and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz on Friday asked those who had made tall claims of development to tell whether they have built a single hospital in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

She said at a public rally in Swat on Friday that an incompetent government is ruling the country and the chosen ruler is endangering peace in the country.

Taking a jibe at the government, the PML-N vice president said that copying former Punjab CM and party president Shehbaz Sharif, the government tried to start a metro bus project in the province but there were incidents of buses of Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) catching fire.

“These fake rulers do not care about the people,” she said.

“If the mandate of the people is not respected then there would be inflation, there would be a price hike for commodities and there would be lawlessness,” Maryam added.

Mariam went on to say that the only way to solve the country’s problems is to dismiss the PTI government and hold new elections.

Regarding the performance of the PTI government, she said: “Inflation, the U.S. dollar and the prices of flour, sugar and medicines, everything is out of control.”
