Karachi: The Minister of Education of Sindh Province Said Sardar Ali Shah announced on Sunday that the school will reopen in 10 days, on August 19th.
At the press conference, the Minister of Education of Sindh was flanked by MPA Ismail Rahu.
He said: “Students are not allowed to bring mobile phones in the test center,” he added, and teachers and test staff are also not allowed to bring mobile phones into the test center.
Rahu said that the intermediate exams postponed due to the lockdown will begin on August 10, and reiterated that the government will not allow cheating at all costs.
Sardar Ali Shah announced that the school will be closed until August 19, and he said that a decision has been made to facilitate students.
He said that although the provincial government will monitor the situation of the coronavirus within 10 days before August 19, the school will continue to be closed due to difficulties in commuting to work caused by the Muharram demonstration.
He said: “The parade started from Muharram on the 7th across the province, which caused trouble for the students.”
Shah said in response to the question that it is important for the provincial government to review its syllabus. “We are still teaching children the miracle of radio,” he said. “In this day and age, does anyone even have a radio at home?”
Shah said that if public schools are reformed and improved, parents will never send their children to private schools.
“No parent is willing to send his/her child to a private school for additional fees,” he said.
In response to a question, Shah said that the Sindh provincial government will work hard to ensure that there are no major differences between the decisions made by the provincial government and the center.
He said that the Sindh provincial government will also supervise and inspect whether school staff and teachers are vaccinated.
