Karachi: The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) rejected the appeal of a Pakistani steel employee for promotion.
A hearing was held on Friday at the Karachi Supreme Court Registry on the appeal of Pakistani Steel employees’ promotion.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Gulzar Ahmed stated that the decision of the Sindh High Court (SHC) was not wrong.
The court commented on why employees should be promoted after the Pakistan Steel Corporation closed in 2015. Judge Ijazul Ahsan stated that there is not even the funds to operate a Pakistani steel plant.
Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed (Gulzar Ahmed) said that it appears that Pakistani steel employees are also working elsewhere. The court further stated that due to the closure of the Pakistan Steel Company, employees received salaries without providing any services.
