SC orders to retrieve all state land across Sindh

Karachi: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday ordered the recovery of all state-owned land from the invaders in Sindh and ordered the computerization of all land records within three months.

According to detailed information, the Supreme Court heard a case concerning the computerization of land records in its Karachi registry. At the hearing, the judge asked senior members of the tax committee why all records were not digitized.

The court was informed that all records of Sindh Province had been collected except Thatta District. The court gave three months of digitization time and told the BOR officer that the time limit will not be extended. If the court order is not executed, he will be liable.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed stated that thousands of disputes have erupted due to several problems in the distribution of land.
