SC dismisses petition seeking dismissal of PM’s aides

Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan rejected a petition calling for the dissolution of special aides and advisers to the prime minister on Friday.

Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed said in his speech that the Rules of Business allow individuals with dual nationality to serve as assistants to the prime minister.

Judge Ijazul Ahsan said that the Supreme Court has established rules on special assistants in the Zulfi Bukhari case, allowing dual citizens to serve as assistants because their loyalty is beyond doubt.

The Supreme Court upheld the decision of the Islamabad High Court and rejected the petition.
