Islamabad: In inter-bank transactions on Monday, the exchange rate of the Pakistani rupee fell by 09 paisa to the US dollar, closing at 168.37 rupees compared with the last closing price of 168.28 rupees.
However, according to the Pakistan Foreign Exchange Association, the exchange rate of US dollars on the open market is 168.2 rupees and 169 rupees respectively.
The National Bank of Pakistan reported that in inter-bank transactions, the exchange rate of the euro rose from 07 paisa to close at 198.92 rupees, compared with 198.85 rupees on the last trading day.
The yen was flat against the U.S. dollar at 1.59 rupees, while the pound exchange rate fell by 2.00 rupees. Compared with the final closing price of 222.30 rupees, the rupee traded at 220.30 rupees.
The exchange rates of the Saudi Riyal and the UAE Dirham rose by 03 paisas respectively, closing at 44.89 rupees and 45.84 rupees respectively.
