Islamabad: The Pakistani rupee exchange rate rose by 67 paisa to 1 US dollar in interbank transactions last Friday, closing at 166.21 rupees compared with the last closing price of 166.88 rupees.
However, according to the Pakistan Foreign Exchange Association, the buying and selling prices of US dollars on the open market are 166.5 rupees and 167.5 rupees, respectively.
The National Bank of Pakistan reported that in inter-bank transactions, the euro depreciated by 1.91 rupees and closed at 186.63 rupees, while the last day’s transaction price was 188.54 rupees.
The Japanese Yen lost 01 paisa to close at Rs 1.54, whereas a decrease of Rs 2 was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound which was traded at Rs 206.99 as compared to its last closing of Rs 208.99.
The exchange rate of Saudi Riyal and UAE Dirham fell by 18 paisa respectively, closing at Rs 44.31 and Rs 45.25 respectively.
