Islamabad: The Pakistani rupee exchange rate between banks rose by 09 paisa to the US dollar on Thursday, closing at 168.13 rupees compared with the last closing price of 168.22 rupees.
However, according to the Pakistan Foreign Exchange Association, the exchange rate of US dollars on the open market is 168 rupees and 167 rupees respectively.
The National Bank of Pakistan reported that in inter-bank transactions, the euro exchange rate rose by 70 paise to close at 199.35 rupees, while the last day’s transaction price was 198.65 rupees.
The yen remained unchanged, closing at 1.59 rupees, while the pound exchange rate rose by 1.69 rupees, compared with the 219.85 rupees in the previous trading day, its exchange rate was 221.54 rupees. The exchange rates of the Saudi Riyal and the UAE Dirham fell by 02 paisas respectively, closing at 44.83 rupees and 45.77 rupees respectively.
