Karachi: The exchange rate of US Dollar increased by 17 paisa in the interbank on Wednesday against Pakistani rupee.
The US dollar closed at 156.96 rupees on the third working day of the week, compared with the previous closing price of 156.79.
Since the beginning of June, the U.S. dollar has risen by 2.42 rupees. However, the U.S. dollar has fallen by 11.47 rupees or 7.05% of its value from its peak of 168.43 in August 2020.
At the same time, according to a report from the National Bank of Pakistan, the euro price rose by 30 paisa to close at 190.36 rupees, while the last working day’s transaction price was 190.06 rupees.
The yen closed at 1.43 rupees, while the pound’s exchange rate rose by 65 paisa, and its transaction price was 221.41 rupees, compared with the last closing price of 220.76 rupees.
The exchange rates of the UAE Dirham and the Saudi Riyal rose by about 5 paisas respectively, closing at 42.73 rupees and 41.85 rupees respectively.
