Karachi: The rescue operation has on Friday been completed after a four-storey building had collapsed in Korangi’s Allah Wala Town in Karachi on Thursday.
Four people were killed in the incident, including the wife, son and daughter of the traffic policeman, and seven others were injured. A lucky family moved from the moment they were engaged in the distribution.
After monsoon rains in the metropolis, cracks appeared in the building. Neighboring buildings were also damaged during the incident. The Pakistan Army, Rangers and police carried out rescue operations.
Sniffer dogs and scanners were used to rescue trapped people from the wreckage. The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) informed that the building was illegal and was built through China Cutting on the sports field without any plans.
