Karachi: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have begun inviting ticket holders to apply for the Karachi NA-249 constituency by-election.
The seat fell vacant due to the resignation of Faisal Vawda. The PTI leader had resigned from the National Assembly seat due to the Senate.
On the other hand, the PPP has directed those interested to submit their applications for tickets within a week along with all the documents for the by-elections.
The party said that applications could be submitted at Bilawal House Karachi and the party office in Islamabad.
Meanwhile, the PTI has also invited applications from candidates. Khurram Sher Zaman said that after the applications, the parliamentary board will announce the final candidate.
He said that PTI will be fully prepared to participate in the by-election.
