LAHORE: PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif has claimed that PTI’s candidate for the post of Deputy Chairman Senate is a PML-N senator.
Maryam Nawaz criticized the leader of Pakistan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in a tweet on Thursday, asking what kind of political status a party would have, and that party could not even Nominate a member of the party to be the chairman of the Senate, so it must yield. Build to get its candidate elected.
She further wrote in her tweet that PTI was so obsessed with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) that it fielded a PML-N Senator for Deputy Chairmanship.
It should be noted that Prime Minister Imran Khan has nominated Senator Mirza Mohammad Afridi for slot of Deputy Chairman Senate.
Information Minister Shibli Faraz said in a tweet that the nomination of Mirza Afridi represents the former Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA).
