Islamabad: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) KSE 100 index turned bullish on Friday, rising 81.04 points and 0.17% to close at 48,238.67 points, compared with 48,157.63 points on the last working day.
A total of 750,651,177 shares were traded that day, compared with 1,117,427,764 shares the previous day’s trading volume, and the stock price was 206.69 billion rupees, compared with 196.06 billion rupees the previous day.
There were 383 companies traded on the stock market, of which 210 were profitable, 151 continued to lose money, and 22 companies’ share prices were flat.
The top three companies by trading volume are Hum Network with 88,080,000 shares trading at a price of 9.12 rupees per share, WorldCall Telecom trading volume of 76,462,000 shares at a price of 4.12 rupees per share, and Byco Petroleum trading volume 70,889,500 shares at a price of 12.86 rupees per share.
Rafhan Corn’s highest increase was 44.55 rupees per share and closed at 9,500 rupees, while Sapphire Tex rose at 39.15 rupees to close at 926.60 rupees.
Gatron Ind. recorded the highest drop of 40.99 rupees per share to close at 520 rupees, followed by Nestle Pakistan, whose share price fell 30 rupees to close at 5,750 rupees.
