Prime Minister Imran promised to help the poor in every way possible


Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan said he will help the poor in all necessary ways, because if leaders do not feel uncomfortable with the poor, they do not have the right to remain in the government.

These views were put forward by the Prime Minister when he chaired the high-level meeting that envisaged the delivery of economic goods for food. An important decision was made during the meeting and Prime Minister Imran ordered the prices of basic products to be lowered.

The meeting decided to lower the prices of flour, wheat, sugar, rice and beans. Prime Minister Imran promised that basic goods would come into the kitchens of ordinary people. He further said that the government would provide rations to families who could not afford food.

He instructed Hafeez Sheikh to help the poor. He said that inflation was the result of a flood of predators by the former government. He added that traitors and hospitters made the situation worse.

The prime minister also praised the performance of the president of the utility company and said they did an excellent job during the flour crisis, with sales growth of 800%.

Assistant adviser to the Minister of Economy and Finance Abdul Hafiz Sheikh, Federal Minister of Economic Affairs, Jahangir Tareen, senior leader of Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Pakistan, Shahbaz Gill, special assistant for poverty reduction and social protection Nishtar for Maritime, Syed Ali Haider Zaidi and the Chairman of Utility Stores Corporation attended the meeting.
