Islamabad: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has announced all possible cooperation with the government on electoral reforms.
Senator Yousuf Raza Gillani, the leader of the Senate opposition party, said in a conversation with the media at the Capitol that electoral reform is necessary and we are ready to extend various cooperation to the government.
He said that the Speaker of the National Assembly has sought cooperation in electoral reforms and procedures in the House of Representatives.
In response to the criticism of Mustafa Nawaz Kohar, he said that PPP is a democratic party and dissent is the soul of democracy. PPP appreciates this.
When answering questions, he said that he has been in contact with independent members. We hope that there will be a good atmosphere in the parliament. The spokesperson was asked to create an environment in which every member had freedom of expression.
