Karachi: After a high-voltage power supply line tripped on Saturday, large areas of Karachi went out of power due to hot and humid weather.
The power supply to 25 electricity sites has been suspended, and most areas of the metropolis have no electricity.
The areas that faced the power outage include New Karachi, Saddar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Buffer Zone, Shadman, Sir Syed Town, Nagan Chowrangi, FB Area and North Nazimabad.
In a statement on Twitter, K-Electric, the port city’s sole power distributor, said: “Interruption in power supply are being reported from some parts of the city. We are urgently looking into this.”
