Lahore: Police personnel on Tuesday have arrested Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Javed Latif after sessions court dismissed his bail plea in a case registered against him on charges of inciting people against state institutions.
Security guards arrested the leader of PML-N who had not left the court that heard the decision near the Sajian Bridge.
On the other hand, the Peshawar High Court (PHC) approved PML-N leader Captain (r) Safdar’s bail before being arrested in a case over income.
Earlier, the Lahore High Court (LHC), while hearing Mian Javed Latif’s plea seeking dismissal of case, had stressed that no relief will be given to the person who speaks against Pakistan.
Justice Muhammad Qasim Khan reprimanded Javed Latif and said in his remarks that the PML-N leader should leave Pakistan and take nationality of any other country. The parliamentarians should do self-accountability, he affirmed.
The LHC chief justice said those who will not raise the slogan of Pakistan khappay (long live Pakistan) will be crushed by people like ants. He said no one can dare to give anti-Pakistan statement.
The character Qasim Khan added that personalities come and go, but the system still exists, and the country’s constitution is more important than the individual.
