Islamabad: The National Coordinating Committee (NCC) on coronaviruses will meet in Islamabad today (Monday). Prime Minister Imran Khan will serve as chairman.
The source said that NCC will further discuss ways and means to effectively deal with the pandemic and its impact on the country. The implementation of measures and relief programmes to stop the spread of coronavirus at the provincial level will also be reviewed.
The chief ministers of the four provinces will attend the meeting via video link. Prime Minister AJK, Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan, Federal Minister, senior military officials and NDMA chairman will also be present.
The source said the meeting will review the Punjab government’s proposal to extend the lock-up period by ten days. The meeting will also investigate the demands of the Sindh government to further strengthen the blockade.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah (Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah) in a telephone conversation with Chief Minister Bal Luchi province on Sunday, proposed a stricter lock-in to control Coronavirus pandemic.
The source also informed that the National Coordinating Committee will unanimously decide on the next course of action based on the current coronavirus situation in the country.
