Islamabad: The Federal Cabinet will meet in Islamabad today (Tuesday) to discuss the economic and political situation in the country and the situation in Afghanistan.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair the Federal Cabinet meeting held in the Prime Minister’s Office. The Cabinet will discuss the 17-point agenda during the meeting.
According to sources, in addition to the decision of the National Security Council (NSC), the Federal Cabinet will also be notified of the situation in Afghanistan. The Minister of the Interior will brief the members of the Federal Cabinet on the security agreement of prominent personalities.
The COVID-19 vaccination process for government employees is also part of the agenda. The leasing policy of Pakistan Post will be introduced.
Other projects include the appointment of the Director-General (DG) of the Intellectual Property Organization, matters related to 104 acres of land in the Ministry of Housing, the appointment of officials of the Pakistan Housing Authority, the reorganization of the committee for changing Islamabad’s master plan, and the addition of the Islamabad Trade Union Committee (UC ) Number, appointment of technical members of the Islamabad Competition Appeals Tribunal, appointment of Executive Director (MD) of the Korangi Fish Port Authority, approval of the additional charges to the chairman of Karachi Port-related matters trust (KPT), appointment of the National Disaster Management Fund Board of Directors, approval of the Pakistan State Quality Policy 2021 and approve the decisions made by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) and the Privatization Committee.
