Islamabad: Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, special assistant for information and broadcast, said Monday that the state fulfills its responsibilities by providing housing and food to those in need.
The special assistant said in a series of tweets that offering housing for the homeless who suffered from a severe cold reflected Prime Minister Imran Khan’s feelings about the poor.
She said the establishment of New Pakistan was based on feelings. She said that human well-being is the mission of Imran Khan in life.
Dr Firdous said the premier has continuously been taking measures for betterment of the downtrodden segment of the society.
The answer came after Prime Minister Imran asked the chief ministers of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to provide temporary shelter to homeless people in the cold, cold weather.
He added that the provincial administration must take immediate action to provide temporary shelter and food to people who cannot live in the existing district of Bangala.
