Karachi: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced the compensation of 1 million rupees for the heir of PK-8303 crash victims.

According to a PIA spokesperson, the district manager will personally visit the victim ’s house to hand over 1 million rupees to pay for the funeral expenses.

PIA spokesman Abdullah Khan said that according to the PIA’s regulations, heirs of victims were provided with compensation of Rs 500,000, but according to the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the amount of compensation has doubled to Rs 1 million.

He further stated that the PIA government had contacted the families of 96 victims.

Only two of the 99 people on the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) passenger plane were killed when they crashed into the Karachi neighborhood.

National Airlines flight PK-8303 took off from Lahore Alama Iqbal International Airport and crashed in the Model Colony area of Mariel, about 4 kilometers from the airport.
