OGRA recommends Rs 5.25 per liter increase in petrol price

Petroleum prices likely to go up by Rs2.50 from August 15

Islamabad: Petroleum product prices may rise by Rs 2.50 from August 15 because the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has sent a summary to the Minister of Finance on Saturday.

The authorities propose to increase the price of gasoline by 50 paisa and increase the price of high-speed diesel by Rs 2.50 per liter.

OGRA also proposes to increase light diesel and kerosene from 1 rupees to 1 rupees per liter.

The source said that the final decision will be made by the Ministry of Finance after consultation with Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The new price will be applied from 12:00 noon tomorrow. A summary of the price increase has been prepared based on the existing oil levy.
