Islamabad: On Friday, the federal government announced an increase in the price of petroleum products, which will take effect immediately.
According to a statement issued by the Financial Secretary, in view of the rising trend of oil prices in the global market, the government decided to revise the current prices of petroleum products.
Gasoline prices rose by 25.58 rupees to 100.10 rupees per liter, while high-speed diesel (HSD) prices rose by 21.13 rupees to 101.46 rupees per liter.
On the other hand, the price of light diesel oil (LDO) increased by 17.84 rupees to 55.98 rupees per liter, and the price of high-grade kerosene (SKO) increased by 23.50 rupees to 59.06 rupees per liter. Rise.
Earlier on May 31, the government had reduced the price of gasoline by 7.6 rupees per liter in response to the global price reduction of petroleum products. The new gasoline price was 74.52 rupees per liter.
Kerosene decreased by 11.88 rupees per metric ton, equivalent to 35.56 rupees per liter, while high-speed diesel increased by 5 paisa per liter. After the price adjustment, the new price of high-speed diesel is fixed at Rs 80.15 per liter.
In addition, the new light diesel price is fixed at Rs 38.14 per liter. Earlier, the price of light diesel was 47.51 rupees per liter.
