Peshawar: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Thursday ordered the authorities to ban the sharing of short video sharing app TikTok in China.
During a hearing of case against the app, plaintiff and Deputy Attorney General appeared before the court. Chief Justice remarked that the videos that are being uploaded on the app are not acceptable in our society so a ban should be imposed on the application from today.
DG Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) told the court that a request has been made with the officials of the application; however, no positive response was received from the company.
On this CJ PHC said that a ban should be imposed on the application as long as officials of the company do not follow directions of the country.
He also said that the application had a negative impact on the younger generation.
