Partial lockdown continues across Pakistan amid coronavirus outbreak

Lahore: Pakistan continued to see a partial blockade on Tuesday in response to a coronavirus pandemic as unnecessary external activities continued across the country.

The Pakistan Army, rangers, police and other security officials have been deployed all over Pakistan and are prosecuting those who violate the embargo.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah stressed that as the province finds the blockade day has reached its fourth day, a concerted effort can be made to defeat the global epidemic.

Since only shops are allowed to open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Sindh’s restrictions are further tightened. With the closure of shopping centers and large markets in Karachi, medical stores are exempted from the new regulations.

Shopping centers, entertainment venues, private and government offices in Punjab remain closed. With the deployment of a large number of police and Pakistani troops, only supermarkets, vegetable markets and dairy shops are open in the province.

A partial blockade of the federal capital was observed, and all markets, restaurants, and transportation were closed.

Mobility between and within cities has stopped, while social, religious and other gatherings are prohibited. All markets are closed by public transport and the metro.

According to a report by the Interior Ministry of Punjab, security services, health workers and journalists have been granted immunity from the blockade.

Get call centers to work with 50 percent of employees without public transactions. Only government employees with a valid permit are allowed to go out.

One family can go to the market to buy supplies, and two people can buy medicines and groceries. In an emergency, two people may accompany the patient, while two people, including the driver, may leave with the disabled.

Have people perform religious rituals, such as funeral prayers and funerals for the dead. Welfare organizations such as Edhi, Saylani and organizations that offer free meals are still active.

Banks are allowed to do business with limited staff, but their time is shortened from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM. If a bank employee’s coronavirus test results are positive, the branch will be closed, but ATMs and online services will not stop. Instruct all bank employees to bring their CNIC and work permit with them.

The province of Lchi remains blocked until April 7, when the province bans unnecessary actions.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s markets and public transportation are also closed because the government has ordered people to isolate themselves from their homes.

After the blockade, the Pakistani army has been deployed throughout the country. The ministry said in a report that the civil affairs department had asked the military for help.

Task Forces of the Pakistan Army carry out their missions in Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kyrgyzstan-Barstan and Azad Kashmir.
