According to data from the Sindh Ministry of Health, a total of 76 people in Taftan tested positive for the virus, compared to 26 in Karachi and 1 in Hyderabad.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also reported 15 new cases: they were all pilgrims and all returned to Pakistan via Taftan.

National total points then rose to 136.

Earlier, Murtaza Wahab, a spokesman for Sindh Province, confirmed 41 cases in a tweet.

“More results have come in. So far 50 people who had arrived in Sukkur from Taftaan have tested positive, 25 at Karachi and 1 at Hyderabad. So the total patients have reached 76 in Sindh. Out of these 76 patients, 2 have recovered and the remaining 74 are being kept in isolation,” he said.
