Badin: Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chowdhury said on Friday that Pakistan will now recommend the Taliban to form a coalition government.
The information minister said while talking to office-bearers of Badin Press Club along with Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Dr Fehmida Mirza.
Fawad Chaudhry said that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan had earlier suggested former Afghan President Ashraf Ghani to form an inclusive government. He also said that Pakistan desires peace and stability in Afghanistan.
The minister said Pakistan wishes to connect China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) with European Union and it is only possible if there is peace in Afghanistan. He said by connecting CPEC with EU, economic activity in the region will boost.
Fawad Chaudhry said that Pakistan persuaded the Taliban to hold talks with the Afghan government, but unfortunately Ashraf Ghani did not listen to us.
On this occasion, the minister listened to the questions of the officials of the Badin News Club and ensured that they prioritized their problems.
