Islamabad: On Tuesday, Prime Minister Imran Khan categorically denied that Pakistan will recognize Israel. This is a few days after the establishment of official relations between the UAE and Tel Aviv. He said that unless the Palestinians did not give them a “just settlement” Right, otherwise Islamabad would not do it.
Prime Minister Imran’s comments came from an extensive interview with Kamran Khan by Dunya News.
“Whichever country wants to do it [recognise Israel], our stance is very clear. Our stance was cleared by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in 1947-48,” said PM Imran. “Which was that we will never recognise Israel till the Palestinians do not get their rights.”
He said that Pakistan will not establish diplomatic relations with Israel unless the Palestinians do not obtain their own independent state accepted by the Palestinian people based on the two-nation theory.
The Prime Minister said that if Pakistan agrees to recognize Israel and abandon its principled position, it will have to stop raising the Kashmir issue due to the same situation in the disputed area.
He said: “Therefore, Pakistan cannot recognize Israel.”
