Islamabad: Pakistan has strongly condemned the construction of Ram Mandir in place of the historic Babri Masjid in India and said that the Indian Supreme Court has given the wrong decision.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Babri Masjid was built five centuries ago, but the ruling of the Supreme Court of India shows that Hinduism has the upper hand in India.
Spokesperson Aisha Farooqui said the decision also proved that the majority won, not the law. The places of worship of Indian minorities, especially Muslims, are intentional. She added that building a temple instead of a mosque would be a shame for future Indian democracy.
