Pakistan reports 2,512 coronavirus cases, 63 deaths in 24 hours

Pakistan reports 95 deaths from COVID-19, highest since late May


Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 1,063,125, Pakistan has reported 95 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The death toll across the country jumped to 23,797 on Saturday.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 4,720 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 11,172 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 6,168 in Sindh, 4,524 in KP, 811 in Islamabad, 641 in Azad Kashmir, 331 in Balochistan, and 150 in GB.

Furthermore 396,918 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 362,557 in Punjab, 147,452 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 90,093 in Islamabad, 31,069 in Balochistan, 26,421 in Azad Kashmir and 8,615 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has performed 16,393,404 coronavirus tests and 57,233 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 959,491 patients and 4,275 patients are in critical condition.
