Lahore: Pakistan has reported 64 new coronavirus deaths in the past 24 hours, and the number of positive cases surged to 539,387. The death toll across the country jumped to 11,514 on Thursday.
According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 1,910 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
In terms of individual cases, Sindh is still the province most affected by the pandemic, followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
Till now 243,683 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 155,805 in Punjab 66,198 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 41,076 in Islamabad, 18,788 in Balochistan, 8,931 in Azad Kashmir and 4,906 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Furthermore 4,661 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 3,957 in Sindh, 1,870 in KP, 472 in Islamabad, 259 in Azad Kashmir, 193 in Balochistan, and 102 in GB.
Pakistan has so far conducted 7,804,935 coronavirus tests and 40,821 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 494,578 coronavirus patients, compared with 2,147 patients in critical condition.
