LAHORE : Pakistan has reported 58 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours, and the number of positive cases has soared to 535,914. The death toll across the country jumped to 11,318 on Tuesday.
According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 1,873 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
In terms of individual cases, Sindh is still the province most affected by the pandemic, followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
Till now 242,054 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 154,717 in Punjab 65,740 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 40,892 in Islamabad, 18,754 in Balochistan, 8,855 in Azad Kashmir and 4,902 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Furthermore 4,608 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 3,900 in Sindh, 1,848 in KP, 468 in Islamabad, 257 in Azad Kashmir, 193 in Balochistan, and 102 in GB.
Pakistan has so far conducted 7,722,829 coronavirus tests and 42,587 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 490,126 coronavirus patients and 2,228 patients in critical condition.
