Pakistan reports 40 deaths from COVID-19, lowest since late July

Pakistan reports 4,786 coronavirus cases, 73 deaths in 24 hours


Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 1,094,699, Pakistan has reported 73 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The death toll across the country jumped to 24,339 on Saturday.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 4,786 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 11,329 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 6,384 in Sindh, 4,640 in KP, 830 in Islamabad, 662 in Azad Kashmir, 332 in Balochistan, and 162 in GB.

Furthermore 409,578 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 370,599 in Punjab, 151,466 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 93,339 in Islamabad, 31,507 in Balochistan, 28,982 in Azad Kashmir and 9,228 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has performed 16,794,167 coronavirus tests and 59,136 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 983,754 patients and 4,729 patients are in critical condition.
