Pakistan reports 4,722 coronavirus cases, 46 deaths in 24 hours


Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 1,047,999, Pakistan has reported 46 deaths from the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The death toll across the country jumped to 23,575 on Wednesday.

According to the latest data released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 4,722 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 11,104 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 6,069 in Sindh, 4,487 in KP, 804 in Islamabad, 634 in Azad Kashmir, 328 in Balochistan, and 147 in GB.

Furthermore, 389,699 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 359,321 in Punjab, 145,862 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 88,676 in Islamabad, 30,749 in Balochistan, 25,301 in Azad Kashmir and 8,391 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has conducted 16,215,728 coronavirus tests and 57,398 tests in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 945,829 patients and 3,858 patients are in critical condition.
